CFO / Chief Financial Officer

About the Position:
We are currently seeking a dedicated CFO to join our team of professionals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Create long-range financial plans to fulfill operating and capital budget needs
· Work with the President and senior management team on the strategic vision of the organization and assist in the development and negotiation of associate contracts
· Establish effective budgeting and reporting mechanisms for capital and operational needs
· Assist in performing tasks necessary to achieve the organization’s mission and growth plans
· Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting
· Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization and oversee federal awards and programs
· Oversee the coordination and activities of independent auditors ensuring all
A-133 audit issues are resolved and all 401(a) compliance issues are met, and the preparation of the annual financial statements is in accordance with U.S. GAAP, federal, state and other required supplementary schedules and information
· Primary responsibility for relationships with external investment managers to ensure that the organization's investments are managed in accordance with policy and that Board reporting and informational needs are met
· Review and negotiate significant vendor contracts to ensure the organization’s interests are adequately protected
· Ensure adequate cash flow to meet the organization’s needs
· Investigate and maintain cost-effective salary and benefit packages with the goal of attracting and retaining a qualified workforce
· Oversee the production of monthly reports including reconciliation’s with funding and pension plan requirements, as well as financial statements and cash flow projections for use by the Finance Committee/Board of Trustees
· Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
· Supervise all Purchasing and Payroll activity
· Works in conjunction with the Information Technology department to ensure that all financial data is secure and recoverable
·Attend Board and Subcommittee meetings

Requirements:

·Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited University
· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
· Not-for-profit accounting in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, OMB Circulars A-133, A-110, and A-122, regulations and compliance requirements, and appropriate Code of Federal Regulations sections
· Organizational development, human resources, and program operations
· General office software, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite and other similar not-for-profit general ledger software
