Description
Performs responsible para-professional work in the execution of a variety of accounting and administrative
tasks through versatile transaction work that aids policy compliance, standards, and best practices as it relates
to finance and reporting. Work is performed under the regular supervision of the Financial Operations Manager.

Requirements
Position Responsibilities-
Internal Compliance: Support the department in tracking policy compliance standards to policies,
applicable laws, regulations, and other accounting standards.
Financial Transactions: Process and record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable
and receivable.
Financial Statements: Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports. Reviews and audit
expense reports to ensure compliance with Town policies.
Reconciliation: Assist with reconciling vendor statements & resolving discrepancies.
Cash Management: Handle daily cash deposits
Cash Receipts: Improvements and separation of duties; ActiveNet; Credit Card processing fee
reconciliation; Miscellaneous Revenues; Customer Data
Audits: Conducts regular audits in support of compliance initiatives with financial regulations as
outlined by policy.
Administrative Tasks: Performs department administrative duties such as but not limited to
department accounts payables, and ordering office supplies.
Communication: Maintain professional and prompt correspondence with internal and external
stakeholders. Works collaboratively with Town Clerks in support of walk-ins and customer service.
General Billing Processes; stormwater; false alarms; retiree insurance
Performs other duties as required to ensure efficiencies of system processes in compliance with
policy and cross-training efforts in payables and payroll to maintain seamless processes.
