Position Overview: The Accounting Specialist I at Restoration of America is to execute tasks in support of the organization’s accounting goals. The Accounting Specialist I will work closely with the Accounting Manager and the Chief Financial Officer to manage day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Code daily transactions to appropriate GL account
• Code daily transactions to appropriate PO number
• Attach proper documentation to all transactions
• Obtain proper approvals to pay invoices
• Reconcile bank accounts for all entities
• Assist in the month-end close process
• Assist in pulling documentation for yearly audit
• Assist with accounting projects

Qualifications:

• Understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Must have strong organizational skills and be detail oriented
• Demonstrated organizational skills to keep information from various accounts separate
• Strong analytical skills to locate and correct errors
• Multitasking ability to work on multiple tasks throughout the day
• Time management skills to ensure that reports are completed, and payments are received on time
• Ability to use accounting software programs such as QuickBooks Online IES
• Bachelor's degree or related experience

Physical Requirements:

       Ability to work in an office environment and use a computer for extended periods.

Working Conditions:

       Office environment with standard working hours; occasional travel may be required.
