Description
In collaboration with the CEO/Executive Director, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) offers support and guidance while actively managing all financial aspects of the Johnson City Housing Authority's (JCHA) operations. This includes overseeing financial accounting systems, internal controls, internal and external reporting, compliance with government regulations, and maintaining the financial stability of JCHA. The position ensures optimal use of program funds through effective budget controls and financial analysis. The CFO prepares internal reports analyzing the JCHA’s HUD programs, operating budgets, and Housing Choice Voucher Program. Additionally, the role involves developing financial models to assess cash flows, test scenarios, and enhance the operational performance of JCHA's multifamily projects.
JCHA operating business hours are Monday - Thursday (only 9-hour workdays)
Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree, ideally with an MBA/CPA or related degree with at least five years of relevant experience or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the responsibilities of a Chief Financial Officer.
