Description
Position: FINANCIAL ANALYSTPosition Concept:
The Financial Analyst position works with the Controller to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial
transactions of the College. The position performs reconciliations and drafts journal entries. This position also
supports the grants accounting function by producing reports and projections for internal use and outside agencies.
Essential Functions:
- Support Director of Grant Funding with grant budgeting, journal entries, and analysis
- Preparation of monthly DOL reports & role in annual review process by the NYDOL
- Prepares monthly bank reconciliations & other account reconciliations as assigned
- Oversees monthly credit card reconciliation and journal entries
- Prepares and keys journal entries to correct reconciling items identified
- Work with all levels of College administration & faculty to ensure compliance between budgeted and actual activity
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in higher education, counseling student affairs or related field. Three to Five years' experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements, reconciling accounts, supporting audits and compliance, budgeting and forecasting support, recording journal entries and closing activities and financial reporting and analysis.
Starting Salary: $60,000 - $70,000
