We are delighted to partner with an award-winning medium-sized UK bank in their search for an experienced Head of Financial Crime with a stable track record in a similar size challenger bank.

As Head of Financial Crime, you will lead a well-established team of 5 FTE professionals in delivering critical first-line financial crime operations. This hands-on leadership role focuses on day-to-day operational excellence while ensuring robust compliance across all banking activities.

Key Requirements-

• Extensive Financial Crime Operations: Proven experience in first-line financial crime operations in a similar size bank including transaction monitoring, alert investigation, and case management
• AML/CTF Expertise: Strong practical knowledge of anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing procedures
• Regulatory Experience: Experience with SARs filing, regulatory reporting, and FCA requirements
• Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with transaction monitoring systems, sanctions screening tools, and case management platforms
• Investigation Skills: Demonstrated ability to conduct complex financial crime investigations
• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and inspire operational teams
• Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all organisational levels
• Process Management: Experience in designing and implementing robust operational controls and procedures

Flexible Working-

Hybrid mode: 3 days in office, 2 days remote
