Description

An established and stable real estate investment and development firm, with a strong regional presence in Singapore, Malaysia and Australia, ranging from residential development project, retail, office, service apartment investments as well as other financial investments is currently looking for a Head of Group Accounting to oversee the financial reporting and consolidation processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Description

• Lead and manage a team of Accounting staffs, providing guidance and leadership to ensure high-quality output and continuous improvement in their personal KPIs as well as Department's work processes
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and consolidated annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements
• Oversee the financial reporting process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and company policies
• Develop and maintain cash flow forecasting models providing accurate and timely forecasts to Management
• Analyse financial data, identify trends and provide insights to Management to support business decision-making
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial reports to Management, auditors and regulatory bodies
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures and controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Prepare group consolidated audit reports and collaborate with external Auditors, Tax Consultants and other Stakeholders to ensure smooth audit and tax processes
• Prepare group financial results before audit for Management prior to internal Shareholders' Meeting
• Assist with Corporate Secretarial matters & IT liaison for accounting software (SAGE) issues, maintenance and upgrade

Profile

To succeed in this role, you should ideally possess the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Professional accounting qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of experience in Accounting, preferably in a group Accounting role
• Proven experience in leading and managing a team
• Expertise in financial reporting and consolidation within the Real Estate industry
• Proficient in financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting
• Experience and/or exposure to finance, tax, structuring will be an added advantage
• Expertise in financial reporting and consolidation within the Real Estate industry.
