Description
The J.P. Morgan Turkey Corporate Finance team is responsible for the origination and execution of M&A and capital raising transactions across all industries. We maintain strong relationships with some of the most prominent clients across the country and aid them in delivering on their corporate strategy and structure. As an Associate you will be part of a team which manages origination and execution of mergers & acquisitions and capital markets transactions alongside colleagues from other country, industry and product teams globally.Job responsibilities:
- Participating in the "full cycle" of transactional execution in M&A, debt and equity financing transactions for clients across industries
- Day-to-day management of executions, leading certain workstreams
- Building and using financial models to perform valuation analysis (using DCF, trading comps, transaction comps and other applicable methods), transaction structuring and other financial analysis
- Coordinating project deliverables and due diligence with clients, co-advisors and third parties
- Interaction with senior team members and client management teams on a daily basis to execute transactions and discuss strategic alternatives
- Preparing presentation books, management presentations, board materials, memoranda, and other presentation materials for use in transactions or strategic client dialogue
- Supporting the country coverage team in their origination efforts with research and analysis on clients, sectors and businesses
- Taking part in the recruitment process of interns and providing them mentorship and supervision afterwards
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Bachelor degree (at a minimum) or equivalent
- Strong academic background
- Investment banking experience
- Outstanding analytical, financial analysis and modelling skills
- Deep understanding of corporate finance principles and financial accounting
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills and time management
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills (English at a minimum)
- Strong project management skills and ability to independently drive work streams under pressure with tight deadlines
- Ability to comfortably interact with clients and people in a professional and mature manner
- Ability to anticipate needs of client, team and senior bankers
- Ability to demonstrate utmost discretion and professionalism at all times
- Exemplary attitude and work ethic
- Well rounded personality
- A working knowledge of Firm's product and service offerings
- Proficient in MS office applications, profound knowledge of customary investment banking databases (FactSet, Bloomberg, etc.)
- Turkish language skills are a must-have
