Job Summary
Supervises nursing staff and medical screener. Performs nursing assessments and crisis medical clearance. Fills physician orders, administer medications, takes and monitors vital signs, coordinates medical care, and assesses signs and symptoms of substance intoxication and withdrawal. Performs discharge planning and care coordination.

Requirements
Qualifications, Experience, and Education
– Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or Massachusetts waiver obtained for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
– Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) level of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or the ability to obtain within the first 5 months of employment.
– Minimum two years of supervisory experience preferred.
– Minimum 2 years of experience in case coordination preferred including ability to:
– Assess clients and advocate for needed treatment.
– Collaborate with local physicians and their staff.
– Implement medical recommendations.
– Basic knowledge of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Illness (DSM V).
– Excellent communication skills.
– Ability to work with a diverse population with a range of psychiatric disabilities.
– Basic knowledge and experience in crisis intervention.
– Basic knowledge in the use of psychotropic medications.
– Basic knowledge of community resources.
– Valid driver’s license and use of personally insured vehicle for agency business.
