- Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant, per diem
Description
Under the supervision of the Dean of Students, the per diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant will serve as the associate medical provider for the Perrella Wellness Center, providing acute, chronic, and preventative health care to the student body when primary provider is engaged in administrative responsibilities or requires time off. This position is part-time (8-16 hours per week).
- Provide, schedule, and coordinate medical services to students who are in need of medical care and who choose to utilize the student health service.
- Oversee referrals to those in need of off-campus medical care.
- Maintain an effective working relationship with all constituents of the Perrella Wellness Center.
- Appropriately utilize the on-site laboratory services.
- Appropriately utilize the on-site medication formulary.
- Maintain the electronic medical records ensuring compliance with all HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
- Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external offices the Wellness Center interacts with.
- Participate in significant campus activities including Welcome Weekend, True Blue Weekend, and Commencement Weekend.
- Expected to comply with all applicable College, Federal, State, local and associational laws, rules and regulations.
- As a representative of the College, expected to comport oneself in a professional manner at all times, both on and off campus.

Requirements
Minimum qualifications for this position are a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university. Must be a Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant with excellent clinical assessment skills and experience in supervision of clerical and nursing staff with at least three years of experience in the field. Must be Board Certified in an area relevant to College Health/General Practice, maintain DEA (prescribing license), and have CPR certification for the Professional Rescuer.
