Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Pediatrics Emergency DepartmentLocation: Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Temple, TX
Schedule: 10-hour shifts (10:00 AM - 8:00 PM), 14 shifts/month, No call
Employment Type: Full-time
Position Summary
Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic Pediatrics Emergency Department team at McLane Children's Medical Center in Temple, Texas. This is a unique opportunity to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings at a renowned pediatric facility, providing care to a diverse pediatric population.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical care to pediatric patients in the emergency department and inpatient settings
- Perform procedures including, but not limited to:
- Incision & drainage (I&D)
- Wound closure
- Splinting and casting
- Foreign body removal
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care
McLane Children's is a 64-bed, full-service pediatric hospital that includes:
- 24-hour pediatric emergency department
- Level II Trauma Center
- Pediatric ICU and advanced imaging center
- Pediatric residency training program
Our flagship 640-bed teaching hospital offers:
- Level I Trauma Center
- 31 residency/fellowship programs

QUALIFICATIONS
- EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program
- EXPERIENCE - More than 1 Year of Experience
- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS): and PALS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
