Description
Full-time, summer nurse position for approximately 8 weeks (June 9 - August 5).
Nurses manage the overall health and wellness of our camp population, administer meds, triage injuries and illnesses, and escort campers into town for appointments or ER/Urgent Care visits.
Our team of ten nurses each live in private bedrooms adjacent to our air-conditioned health center.
Nurses will work on a rotating schedule with weekly days off. All meals are included and travel to/from camp is included.
Base salary begins at $1,500. We also provide a travel stipend, housing and meals.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Registered nurse + valid ME nursing license (Easy to obtain)
- Must hold current CPR certification

- Able to coach a staff of counselors
- Compassionate
- Happy to live and work in a communal setting.
- Eager to take initiative and have a strong work ethic.
- Able to be flexible and adapt to an ever-changing environment.

Manitou employs a large, experienced staff of over 220 adults to care for its 370 campers. While most of our counselors are returnees, new additions are always warmly welcomed.
