The RN in this role will be in the Riley Maternity Tower at Riley Children's Hospital. Under one roof, the Riley Maternity Tower includes 13 labor and delivery rooms, 3 intensive-care rooms, 14 high risk antepartum rooms, 10 emergency rooms, 4 operating rooms, 6 bay PACU, and infant-resuscitation rooms.

• Shift: Fulltime Nights

Nursing skills gained on this unit:

• Critical Care Assessment and Device Training

• Obstetrics Nursing Assessment and Device Training

• Emergency and Rapid Response Assessment

• Adult and Neonatal Resuscitation

• Assist with procedures such as: neonatal delivery, complex OR cases, OB hemorrhage management, central line placement, bronchoscopy, intubation, and more

• Fostering support for patients and family with bereavement care.

  Qualifications

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.

• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.

• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.

• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
