Description
Job Title: Sr. Financial Analyst

Job Summary:
The Sr. Financial Analyst performs economic research and studies of rates of return, depreciation and investments. Analyzes profit-and-loss income statements and prepares reports and recommendations for management. Generate forecasts and analyze trends in sales, finance and other areas of business. Research economic progression to assist the organization's financial planning. Creates financial models of "what if" scenarios for future business planning decisions in areas such as new product development, new marketing strategies, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts quantitative analyses of information affecting budgets, expenses, and other financial projects of public or private institutions
- Collects and analyzes financial information for assigned accounts, products or product lines, or business units to track the organization's progress against financial goals.
- Reports current or expected financial performance and creates financial models to guide decision making.
- Analyzes cash flow, expenditures, revenue, depreciation, and investments to make recommendations for action and/or modifications regarding financial procedures, plans, and controls.
- Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, or annual financial statements.
- Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment
- Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines
- Solves complex problems
- Works independently, receives minimal guidance
- May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for on-going activities or objectives
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or related field
- Five (5) plus years of prior related experience.
Qualifications:
- Strong financial and business acumen skills.
- Strong communication skills (written and oral), strong analytic skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities across a diverse portfolio of programs.
- Statistical knowledge
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong accounting knowledge and compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations.
Other Requirements:
- Travel: No or very little travel likely
- Work Environment: Office work environment, with occasional visits to the corporate office
- Background Investigation and Drug Screen: Required
