Your Role: What you'll be doing

Under the direction of the Internal Audit Leader, the Auditor is responsible for leading and supporting the timely execution of risk-based, compliance, and financial audits following the annual audit schedule. The auditor will also perform investigations as requested by ULA senior leadership and participate in and support risk analysis activities.

Areas of financial compliance review include the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, section 404 and The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).  Additionally, IT compliance with ISO-27001 and CNSSI-1253 standards will be performed.

The auditor will also support Investigating and facilitating the resolution of compliance issues and inquiries received from the company, customers, and government regulatory agencies.  Finally, the auditor will facilitate cross-functional project collaboration with varying departments to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness.

The position is open for regular, part-time status with a weekly schedule of 20 hours per week. The role will enjoy a flexible hybrid schedule; local to the Centennial, CO offices.

Requirements

Your Background: Recommended Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree and 4 - 8 years of experience.

Your Background: What skills you'll need

An accredited Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following areas: Accounting, Audit, Business Management, Economics, Engineering, Information Technology, or Finance is highly desired.
 
4-8 years of work experience with a minimum of 1 year business experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Audit
• Enterprise Risk Management
• Compliance
• Finance
• IT

Intermediate to Advanced experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

Highly Desired Experience/Skills:

• Prior experience in performing or supporting audits
• Experience in Internal Audit
• Certifications related to audit and/or finance (ex: CIA, CISA, CPA, PMP)
• Aerospace experience
• Project/program management experience
• Understanding/training in root cause analysis
• Knowledge of Financial Statements and Business Process Cycles
• Prior experience with IT/information security (terms/concepts) 
• Strong oral communication and writing skills
• Conflict resolution capability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
