Company Overview
Founded in 1977, Sojourner Center has led the state in providing safety, promoting empowerment, and supporting the transformation of domestic violence survivors. Sojourner Center’s core services promote safety and self-sufficiency of the participants. Our program incorporates the provision of basic human needs (food, shelter, clothing), case management, issue driven education classes, support groups, safety planning, onsite healthcare provided by licensed practitioners, lay-legal advocacy services to help navigate the court system, life skills development and behavioral/mental health/chemical abuse support. Families have access to the Child Development Center which offers onsite licensed childcare, developmental assessments, daily age appropriate programming, education and social support groups; and for mothers, non-violent discipline, parenting and child development classes.
