Check-In Nurse
As the True Friends Check-In Nurse, you'll play a key role in ensuring participant health and safety. You'll gather essential medical information, train and prepare the care team to support a variety of medical needs, and remain on call to provide guidance and assistance throughout the session.
Schedule: Part time, Friday evening onsite 2-4 hours, on call through Sunday morning
Pay: $25 per hour (4 hour minimum)
Location: In person, Camp Friendship Annandale, MN

What You'll Bring to the Table:
- Must be able to pass an organizational background study
- RN or LPN licensure in the state of MN
- Ability to respond appropriately to behavioral challenges and support participants in accordance with training and safety protocols
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred

Requirements
How You'll Contribute:
- Support the participant health care intake process by gathering necessary information and ensuring accurate documentation
- Verify that medications on the MAR match the physician or pharmacy medication list
- Communicate with participants’ families, staff, or other care providers regarding health needs
- Review health care protocols and physicians' standing orders
- Delegate responsibilities and monitor completion
- Provide training and guidance to staff on medical procedures and the proper use of medical equipment
- Support medication distribution and ensure proper documentation
- Collect and document participant vital signs as required
- Perform medical services within licensure, including administering injections, prescribed medications, enemas, wound care, and other basic medical tasks
- Provide on-call assistance and support through out the session
