Role Purpose
The Business Management (BM) role provides centralized financial, operational, risk, and governance oversight for Accounting & Fund Services. The role focuses on producing executive-level reporting and dashboards, tracking, and managing financial targets and timely delivery of management information to senior leaders and governance forums. This role combines strategic oversight, financial and operational performance monitoring, business planning, regulatory and risk management, and cross-functional coordination to support the business head and leadership team. The Specialist works closely with business leaders and functions to develop and implement strategy, monitor results, and embed strong governance and controls. Success in this role requires a blend of big-picture strategic thinking and hands-on execution to optimize performance, manage risks, and deliver on business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Financial & Business Oversight
- Manage workforce planning, including headcount tracking and resource allocation.
- Review, consolidate, and produce recurring financial and productivity reporting.
- Track and forecast dollar and FTE savings, including surrendered posts and productivity-driven closures.
- Lead development and communication of strategic business plans.
- Review financial forecasts provided by practice leads and ensure we are managing performance against plan.
- Quantifies the impact of efficiency initiatives on financial goals.
- Support development and maintenance of dashboards for decision making.
- Provide ad-hoc business management support and analytics for decision-making.
- Develop and maintain key business metrics, including productivity measures and unit costs, and use these insights to support data-driven decisions.
- Review consolidated submissions, and prepare final reporting for COO operational reviews, weekly updates, and enterprise reporting requirements.
- Produce, review, and distribute consolidated weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for A&FS leadership.
- Publish data to AFS dashboards and support increased transparency through standardized reporting.
- Produce and maintain post-management and requisition status reporting at a global A&FS level.
- Track refills, replacements, new roles, IJPs, interns, and contractors; highlight exceptions and risks.
- Act as a central coordination point between practice leads, finance, recruiting, and operations.
- Monitors risk events, audit findings, and control issues, ensuring timely escalation and remediation.
- Monitor, consolidate, and report on operational risk events, data privacy events, regulatory breaches, audit issues, and remediation programs.
- Create content and reporting for Risk Committee, COO Risk Committee, and other governance forums.
- Track remediation actions, escalate risks, and ensure compliance with enterprise standards and regulatory programs.
- Coordinate operational reviews and consolidate business reporting.
- Oversee governance deliverables including SLDs, SLAs, service reviews, exceptions, and deferrals.
- Ensure documentation meets enterprise requirements and is refreshed on defined cycles.
- Work with HR to produce recruiting metrics, attrition reporting, and workforce analytics.
- Coordinate talent engagement activities.
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in financial analysis
- Experience working with management reporting, dashboards, or financial data models
- Ability to review, consolidate, and validate financial data for accuracy and completeness
- Experience identifyingtrends, variances, and key drivers of business performance
- Review data submissions for accuracy and completeness.
- Produce consolidated reporting and executive-ready materials.
- Track trends, risks, exceptions, and performance vs. plan.
- Escalate issues and provide insights to senior leadership.
- Partner closely with Practice Leads, Finance, Operations, Risk, and India BM teams
- Collaborate with Finance, HR, and other functional partners.
